Create an account.

Only needed to propose a change or join a discussion. Reading the atlas needs nothing.

Before you create it, one thing that cannot be undone later.

Anything you publish here stays published if you delete your account. Your name is removed from it; the argument is not. A public record that can be retracted afterwards is not a record.

Your display name is what appears next to anything you publish. Choosing to be anonymous is decided per submission, not here — and an anonymous submission is still visible to an administrator.

Between 2 and 40 characters. It appears on the public site.

Used to verify the account and to reset the password. Nothing else is ever sent to it.

At least 10 characters. No composition rules — length is what matters.
