What went wrong, and what was done about it.
Issue
The human biological domain currently divides into nine components, against a stated ceiling of seven. The bound was adopted so that a complete division can be held in working memory at once, and nine defeats that. The division also excludes hormonal signalling to an endocrine system that does not appear among the nine, so the set is simultaneously over the ceiling and incomplete.
Resolution
No change yet. Three options are open: argue that the bound does not apply at this level and say why; merge components that are not siblings of the rest; or introduce an intermediate level so each division stays within bounds. The third is most likely correct but has not been worked through.
