SHUTOKU Account deletion

Delete your Shutoku account

Shutoku is published by Systems Atlas Project Limited. You can delete your Shutoku account, and all the data associated with it, in either of the two ways below.

1 · In the app — immediate

  1. Open Shutoku and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm with your password.

Your account, your progress on our servers, and the app's data on that device are all erased straight away.

2 · By email — within 30 days

If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, write to us from the email address your account uses and ask for it to be deleted.

Email a deletion request

Or write to shutoku@systemsatlasproject.com. Requests are actioned within 30 days. We ask you to write from the account's own address so that nobody can delete someone else's account.

What is deleted

  • Your account and your email address.
  • Your review progress for every card — repetitions, intervals, ease factors and due dates.
  • Your streak history and your best conjugation-practice streak.
  • Any password-reset links outstanding on the account.
  • The app's copy of all of the above on the device you delete from.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. It cannot be undone.

What is not deleted

Two things survive, and we would rather tell you than let you assume otherwise.

  • Feedback and reports you have already sent. Those were emailed to us when you sent them and remain in our inbox. They are not linked to your account. Ask us and we will delete them too.
  • Translation-practice text already sent to OpenAI. If you used translation practice, that text was processed by OpenAI and is retained under their terms, which we do not control. It was never sent with your email address or account identifier.

Things worth knowing

  • Deleting the app does not delete your account. Use one of the two routes above.
  • Signing out is not deletion. Signing out erases the app's data from that device but keeps your account, so you can sign back in on any device. Shutoku offers to upload your progress before signing out.
  • If you want a copy first, email us before deleting and we will send you what your account holds.
